December 2019

Dear Westford Resident,

The Westford Police Association and the Westford Police Superior Officer’s Association are currently conducting
our 6th Annual Letter Fundraising campaign. Over the years the donations made by the supportive and generous
members of our community have been greatly appreciated as your contributions have enabled us to support many
wonderful people and programs. Every year our Unions strive to expand our efforts and we are eager to find
people that are in need of assistance and those organizations that are working just as hard as we are to make a
difference. The Westford Police Department works diligently to instill within our ranks a strong sense of pride in our
community. We work together to provide the highest level of public safety and customer service and are honored to
serve this remarkable Town.

It is our hope that we can count on you once again this year to make a tax deductible contribution to the Westford
Police Association and the Westford Superior Officer’s Association. One hundred percent of all donations go to the
Associations which are then directed towards various programs and entities throughout the Westford community.

A small sample of the people, programs, and events our Associations have supported with your efforts include:

Ø The Westford Food Pantry and the Cameron Senior Center
Ø Westford Academy Criminal Justice Scholarships
Ø American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Various Law Enforcement Funds
Ø Westford Against Substance Abuse, “Last Night” Festivities
Ø The Scott Middlemiss Big Hearts Foundation and Principal Kevin LaCoste #LaCosteStrong
Ø Westford Youth Sports and Westford Academy Athletics
Ø American Heart Association, Jimmy Fund and the Special Olympics
Ø Support to Westford residents who have been stricken by untimely or unforeseen hardships

As a friendly reminder, with the holiday season approaching there tends to be an increase in the number of
telephone and mail scams asking for donations, various forms or payment for illegitimate purposes or personal
information. Whether it’s from a utility company, the IRS, or someone identifying as a long lost relative, it is
important to remember that utility companies and other legitimate sources will not ask for your social security
number nor demand immediate payments over the phone. If the caller directs you to purchase a Visa Gift Card or
the like, or offers to come to your residence for a cash payment, you should be suspicious and alert the proper
authorities.

For more information about our efforts, or to donate directly, go to westfordpoliceassociation.com. The Westford
Police Association is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit and all gifts are tax deductible (Tax ID# 22-2999444). Please
email [email protected] with any questions or concerns. Donations can be mailed to the
Westford Police Association, P.O. Box 137 Westford, MA 01886 or dropped in person at the Westford Police
Department.

We would like to thank you for your continued support and wish you a safe and happy Holiday Season.
